Flo Federman, Marketing & PR Chair

Flo Federman is the Long Island Regional Marketing Manager at Marcum LLP, Long Island’s largest accounting firm. She is responsible for the external communications efforts of the Long Island office.

She has been in professional service marketing for over 15 years, at regional accounting and law firms, responsible for the strategy, content, and execution for external and internal communications, including brand management, social media and website, public relations and advertising, marketing materials, and e-mail/direct mail pieces.

In a business community where it is difficult to make your mark in one profession, Flo has had an impact in two. Before making the jump to marketing, she succeeded in the radio and television industry. She previously gained fame as the News Director and Morning Show Co-Host of the “Rick and Flo Show” on B-103 Radio, as well as in the news departments of WALK-FM, WKJY-FM, WMJC-FM, WHFM-FM, News 12 Long Island, and WLIG-TV 55.

In addition to her position on the board of WEDLI, Flo is the administrator of the Press Club of Long Island, a past president of Public Relations Professionals of Long Island (PRPLI), and as a member of the Association for Accounting Marketing and the International Association of Business Communicators.

Honors have followed this community service. In 2015 she was named among the Top 50 Women in Business by the Queens Courier, an accolade she also received by Long Island Business News twice, in 2014 and 2009. In 2013 she was included in the “Ones to Watch in Growth Strategies,” by LIBN. Flo was selected among the 40 Under 40 Business Achievers, Class of 2003 and in 2009 was elected Salutatorian of the 40/40 Alumni. Flo was chosen among the Top Marketing Achievers of 2005 and won IABC’s Achievement in Communications Award in 2007. She has been honored with the Rising Star Award from PRPLI and the Phil Spahn Leadership Award from the Press Club, along with many media awards while in broadcasting.
