March 2019: LI Trailblazers in Law Enforcement

During Women’s History Month, here is your chance to hear from two female trailblazers in Long Island’s law enforcement community!

Nassau County Sheriff Vera Fludd is the first woman to hold the position. Geraldine Hart is Suffolk County’s first female police commissioner.
Learn about their career journeys, personal experiences, and leadership strategies that led them to achieve these historic firsts. Hear about their priorities to keep Long Island safe and the  artnerships they created with law enforcement on local, regional, and national levels. We look forward to finding out how they forged their career paths, the challenges they’ve overcome, and the particular obstacles they faced along the way.
